AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am

Congratulations to Myrtle Beaches Dustin Johnson! Johnson was victorious at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am which was the third win in his short career. It is astonishing to watch a young man become an exemplary golfer at just 25 years of age.

TPC of Myrtle Beach is proud to display Johnson's first PGA Tour trophy, from the Turning Stone Resort Championship in October 2008, in the pro shop. TPC's Owner, Chip Smith, hopes to reconfigure the hallways to include a trophy room in near future. Both Johnson and the Coastal Carolina golf team train and practice at TCP among other great courses such as Quail Creek at Coastal Carolina University.

Some say that when you do what you love you will become successful. This is true for Johnson and he had this to say, "You know, I have fun out there. I think, you know, that helps a lot. When you have fun out on the golf course, it definitely helps you."

Dustin Johnson's Statistics:

* Dustin Johnson is a resident of Myrtle Beach and a former three-time All-American at Coastal Carolina University.

* He is the first player since Tiger Woods, 1996-1998, to win in each of his first three years on the PGA Tour straight out of college.

* He is the first repeat winner at Pebble Beach since Mark O'Meara in 1989-1990.

* He is number one on the 2010 FedEx Cup points list, number two on the PGA Tour money list by a mere $3,550 behind Steve Strickler with $1,682,450 earned in just five events, and number two on the U.S. Ryder Cup Team points list behind Strickler.

* He is currently in the 25th spot on the world; he began the season at the 54th spot.

* He joins Sean O'Hair as the only Americans in their 20's with three PGA Tour Wins.
