SC Golf: Honda Classic Round 2

There was a lot of excitement yesterday at Southern Florida’s premier PGA TOUR event, the renowned Honda Classic. In fact, four players took advantage of the mild conditions and matched the course record. Steven Ames, Paul Casey, Anthony Kim, and Mike Weir all matched the current course record of 64, which is 8 shots under par and quite impressive in my book!

Additionally, round 2 was competitive and the scores were very close. Camilo Villegas (Spider-Man) and Anthony Kim head the weekend and are tied for the leading position. Vijay Singh is just one stroke behind them while Jerry Kelly is just two strokes behind and Mike Weir leads a group of 5 players for the three strokes behind the leading position.

Round 3 and 4 of the Honda Classic should be interesting, to say the least, due to the fact that Camilo Villegas, Anthony Kim, and Vijay Singh have secured the top three positions on the positions on the leaderboard. Interestingly enough, Arnold Palmer’s grandson, Sam Saunders is doing well also at just 4 under.
