2010 Shell Houston Open Ended After R1 of the Playoffs

Anthony Kim’s victory today at the 2010 Shell House Open was his third PGA TOUR victory. The final round was close. Never-the-less, Anthony Kim (68-69-69-70) rose to the challenge and beat out Vaughn Taylor (69-70-70-68) on the first playoff hole for the win at Redstone Golf Club. Kim and Taylor finished regulation play at 12-under-par and at a total of 276 and, surprisingly, both suffered a bogey-5.

The Redstone Golf Club, a Rees Jones design, is a challenging course, to say the least, and is no stranger to a playoff. In fact, today’s playoff was the second consecutive playoff to date. Paul Casey defeated J.B. Holmes in the first playoff last year.

One hundred and forty one PGA Golfers started the event and seventy two played in the final round. As usual, SC Golf is here to help lighten the load and bring you the best information without all the fluff and filler.
