Couples in the Lead Masters 2010 (SC Golf’s Summary)

After nearly a week of anticipation, the Masters has finally begun and day/round one has ended with Fred Couples in the lead. Several golfers played well today. In fact, there is a five way tie for the second position and third position. Couples finished the day at -6 and 66 for round one of the 2010 Masters.

Tiger Woods played an impressive first round, after nearly a five month absence from professional golf, also and finished the day with at -4 and 68 for the round. There are currently ten golfers ahead of Tiger but surely, as he has proven in the past, he will pull ahead of the pack in the rounds to come. Few can focus and shine under pressure like Tiger can and even less can make such a strong come back after injury or absence.

The Masters is always monumentus event. Moreover, with Fred Couples, Phil Mickelson, Y.E. Yang, Anthony Kim, and Tiger Woods all in the top ten round two should prove to be an exciting an exciting addition to this event.
