Will Woods & Mickelson Face Off 4 the Title?!

2010 The Masters (Friday Round Two)

As senior golf writer, Randall Mell said, “Nothing would be better for the game than another Sunday with Tiger Woods battling Phil Mickelson – this time for the GREEN jacket.” Both Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson played well today and had several astonishing shots. Never-the-less, both golfers have a lot of ground to make up in order for that face off to occur.

Both Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods finished round two of the 2010 Masters Tournament in Augusta Georgia Friday at -6 under par for the event thus far. Tiger finished round two with a 70 and Phil finished with a 71. If both athletes play strong in the third round, Saturday (Round 3), we could definitely see a Tiger and Phil volleying for the title.

Another anomaly could take place at the 2010 Masters… it has been quite some time (approximately 10 years) since an Englishman, or any European for that matter, has won this event and taken home the coveted title and “GREEN” jacket of the Masters Tournament in Augusta, Ga. However, this year there are two names at the top of the list that could end this drought; so to speak. Both Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood are tied for first place at -8 overall.

As expected, the 2010 Masters is turning out to be a promising event! There are two golfers tied for first place, five tied for second, and three tied for fourth place. Only time will tell who pulls ahead of the pack and who becomes the next champion of The Masters!
