Party Barefoot With The Blowfish - MAM 2013

Some refer to Myrtle Beach as the "Red-neck Rivera" while others refer to it as the place to go on spring break. We at SC Golf prefer to view Myrtle Beach in her classic, most pure form (of days gone by)...

Whatever you like to call it, Myrtle Beach is home to beautiful beaches, fine restaurants, and 100s of golf courses: Arrowhead Country Club, Burning Ridge Gold Club, Carolina National Club, and The Founders Club at Pawleys Island just to name a few. Myrtle Beach is home to many world class courses and in the top echelon are those at Barefoot Resort!

For the last 11 years the elite Pete Dye Club at Barefoot Resort has been home to the Monday After the Masters (MAM) where more than 6,000 fans wait for the gates to open (at 5:30am) so they can stake their claim on the course and eagerly await the shot gun start that has become a legacy.

This year was no different...

It seems like each year the music gets louder, the money raised gets larger, and the winning score remains well under par!! What... what? Yes, that's right, the winning score this year remained lower than past years; last year’s winning team scored 20-under par and the team that placed second scored 19-under par. For more information on MAM 2012, visit Monday After the Masters (under SC Golf Topics).

This year the Pro-Am title was taken by the team led by PGA Tour Player Kevin Kisner and Actor Alfonso Ribeiro with an awe-inspiring score of 18-under par score of 54.

If you have not received your tickets for 2014 you better get in line! 2014 will be a landmark. The 2014 Monday After the Masters will celebrate 20 years of good times, good music, and great memories!

Monday After the Masters:

MAM is one of the largest supporters of the South Carolina education system and the only charity that has raised more than $4 Million, that's Million with an M, in a series of one day events. It also sponsors the South Carolina Junior Golf Program that has changed lives and golf in South Carolina.
